How We Got Started
Beau Bristol, the owner of Garage Doors and More, was working what he describes as a “nowhere job” many years ago when he met Ralph Bradley, the owner of a garage door franchise. Bradley asked Beau if he was interested in a career, and Beau jumped at the opportunity to work with garage doors.
Beau started in the shop and advanced to garage door technician. The experience of working his way up from the ground floor gave him an uncommon depth of understanding in the garage door service and installation field. While in the shop, he unloaded trucks, filled orders of parts and equipment for shipment, and learned how to repair garage door openers.
When he moved into the field repairing and installing garage doors in 2003, he had a good foundation. Under Bradley’s tutelage, he learned how to fix and install garage doors. He also came across examples garage door service done the wrong way, as well as examples of work that was less than reputable. He learned what to do and what not to do.
After working for several companies over the years, he decided it was time to start his very own family-owned and operated company in 2014 – Garage Doors and More. He was determined to give his customers not just great service, but honest service. He wanted to take out the nonsense of installing garage door parts customers don’t really need just to drive up their repair costs. He wanted to instead strive for reliable, quality, and local garage door service done with integrity and professionalism.
Where We Are Today
Today, Beau is a master garage door technician. He’s frequently called to help with garage doors that have long frustrated homeowners.
